Millions of Southern Californians Lost Power - How to Ensure Your Generator's Fuel System is Ready
Thursday, September 8th, 2011 a major power outage caused by a problem with a transmission line from Arizona to Southern California knocked out electricity to 5 million people in California, Arizona and Mexico, bringing the greater San Diego area to a standstill and leaving people sweltering in the late-summer heat in the surrounding desert.
A strong cause for regularly maintaining your diesel fuel and fuel system was reinforced by the fact that many residential, commercial, and industrial owners of standby power systems were effected because their generator system failed to perform due to low fuel and/or insufficient maintenance of the generator's fuel system.
As a leader in the power generation industry, Bay City Electric Works informs our customers on the importance of following a scheduled planned maintenance program to ensure your equipment is ready when needed. We offer many fuel services including 24/7 delivery. Click on the video below to learn more about these services.

Please review the proposal for Tier 4 emission standards:
On January 25, 2012 the SCAQMD had a Public Hearing regarding Rule 1470. The SCAQMD staff's new proposal is less stringent than the October 2011 proposal for Tier 4 emission standards requiring diesel particulate filters (DPF's) on all engines. The next public hearing is scheduled for March 2nd. Please contact us with any questions or concerns related to Rule 1470.
