Loftin Purchases Bay City Electric Works

Mark Loftin, President, announced the acquisition of Bay City Electric Works, a premier distributor of emergency generator systems, automatic transfer switches and paralleling switchgear, mobile generator sets and portable generator sets.

“Our goal is to expand the business and provide superior service and technical support to construction companies, contractors, fire and police departments, municipalities, retailers, schools, airports, hospitals and long-range care facilities, rental yards and other generator customers.”

Bay City was founded in 1932 and in 1997, was honored by Kohler Co. as Generator Distributor of the Year. Loftin is a founder of two business, Loftin Equipment Co., an industrial engine and generator distributor based in Phoenix, Arizona, with branches in Texas and Nevada, and BLUEline Equipment Co., the premier manufacturer of carpet cleaning and flood restoration equipment.
